Premium AEROTEC to present itself at 2011 Paris Air Show in Le Bourget
At its exhibition stand, Premium AEROTEC will present a mock-up of a fuselage shell section for the new Airbus A350 XWB long-haul aircraft to demonstrate its skills in applying the latest carbon fibre-reinforced plastics (CFRP) technologies. Premium AEROTEC is the world’s largest supplier of fuselage structures for the new A350 XWB. The company will also present a demonstrator for a fuselage segment (barrel), manufactured using Vacuum Assisted Process (VAP®) technology. This demonstrator has been developed as part of an innovation project called Next Generation of Integrated Composite Aerostructures (NEXICOS) and is supported by the German Ministry of Economics and Technology. The aim of NEXICOS is to demonstrate the capability of one-shot production of complete barrels including integrated stringers using the VAP® registered technology. In addition, other models displayed at Premium AEROTEC’s stand at this air show will illustrate the company’s development and production expertise.
