Well positioned in the competition for the best brains
In this study, which is carried out every year, the CRF Institute applies international standards to establish which German companies are leading the way in outstanding human resources management, in this case specifically for the target group of engineers. Using objective and independent methodology, the Institute identified the country’s best and most forward-looking employers for engineers. The study assessed the participating companies according to six criteria: Primary Benefits (all monetary benefits), Secondary Benefits & Work-Life Balance (all non-pay-related benefits and working conditions), Training & Development, Career Opportunities, Corporate Culture and Innovation Management. Premium AEROTEC was rated very good to excellent in all six categories. The performance of all participating companies was assessed and evaluated by an independent body of experts.
“In the competition for the best talent, this seal of approval underlines the positive development that our company has undergone in recent years,” said Wolfram Sauer, Head of Human Resources and member of the Board of Management of Premium AEROTEC. “Behind our top technological achievements is a strong team of development and production engineers. Their ideas and solutions are the driving force that moves us into the future of aviation. We want to earn the loyalty of these high-potential employees, and at the same time support them with further talented people. Receiving the award as a 2012 Top Employer for Engineers strengthens us in this undertaking.”
Engineers work in all parts of the company at Premium AEROTEC, especially in development and production. In the course of its participation in new aircraft programmes, particularly the development field has grown significantly since the company was founded in 2009. A new engineering centre with working space for about 300 engineers is currently taking shape at the Augsburg site to bring together the engineering resources and corresponding know-how needed for innovative cutting-edge technologies close to the production line. At the new technology centres in Varel and Nordenham, in the immediate vicinity of the plants, the company is working intensively with partners and suppliers to develop new production processes, and conducting research that will further consolidate Premium AEROTEC’s leading position in key technological areas.
Premium AEROTEC generated revenues of 1.3 billion euros in 2011. Its core business is the development and manufacturing of metal and carbon composite aerostructures and the associated equipment and production systems. The company has production plants in Augsburg, Bremen, Nordenham and Varel in Germany, and in Braşov County, Romania.
